I have been working in the complementary health area since 1998, training first in Massage and Sports Therapy. My previous work had progressed through being the head of a Physical Education department, to being dance specialist working both in schools and in the community. Dancers dont last forever, and so when my own body told me enough was enough, I listened to it, and followed my interest in the moving body into this fascinating area of work. I began my new career with oestopaths, doing soft tissue work [massage] to help the recovery of their clients, soon building up a client base of my own, eventually, after five years, leaving the clinics to work from my house and for a school for children with special educational needs.I did this for another four years.
CURRENT CLINICS
I now work mainly from my home in Boxworth, with one day a week at Milton. Both clinics are on the outskirts of Cambridge with a friendly atmosphere and easy parking. There is easy access at Boxworth for those who are unable to climb stairs, and appointments are available weekdays, evenings and weekends.
I have continued to expand my skills and understanding with a wide variety of courses and qualifications. These allow my clients easy access to a very comprehensive range of treatments for their benefit, whether that is to get better [heal], maintain their health [prevention] or give themselves a special treat[luxury]. My clients range from highly skilled sports and business people to babies and children. They may ask for help physically[ injuries, headaches, pain, asthma etc.] or mentally/emotionally [ not feeling right, nerves, depressed etc.] I am able to help in many ways and whilst no therapist is 100% effective for 100% of their clients, I am confident that I know when I can and cannot help, and will honestly refer people to other forms of treatment or practitioners when necessary.

YOUR FIRST VISIT
I offer a free 30 minute consultation so that I can take a good case history and listen to what you have to say. we are able to ask each other all the necessary questions to achieve a good result and you may have treatment preferences that are important to you. You are under no obligation to have a treatment after the consultation, and may wish to go home and think about it.
Where appropriate I do, in consultation with my clients, combine treatment modalities.A painfull shoulder joint, tightened through a repetative keyboarding strain, then exacerbated by a muscle strained when walking the dog on a muddy path, is not one single problem. The treatment is likely to be a combination of my skills to resolve the whole problem, not just the muscle tear.
APPOINTMENTS
Most sessions are 60 minutes long, although where appropriate 30 minute sessions are arranged. Childrens sessions are usually 30 minutes or less and charged at half price.
